The White Lotus Season 3: Premiere Date, Cast, and What to Expect

HBO has officially set the premiere date for Season 3 of The White Lotus. The highly anticipated third installment of Mike White’s acclaimed anthology series will debut on February 16, 2025, airing on HBO and streaming on Max at 9 p.m. ET and 10 p.m. PT.

Filming Locations and Episode Count

Season 3 is set in Thailand, following the Hawaii-based first season and the Sicily-set second season. Filming began in February 2024 across locations including Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok.

The new season will feature eight episodes, expanding from the six and seven episodes of the first two seasons, respectively. New episodes will air every Sunday night in HBO and Max’s prime slot.

Cast for Season 3

The upcoming season boasts an impressive ensemble cast, with Natasha Rothwell returning after her role in Season 1. The cast includes:

  • Leslie Bibb as Kate, Carrie Coon as Laurie, and Michelle Monaghan as Jaclyn, three longtime friends on a girls’ trip.
  • Walton Goggins as Rick Hatchett, traveling with his younger girlfriend Chelsea (played by Aimee Lou Wood).
  • Jason Isaacs as Timothy Ratliff and Parker Posey as Victoria Ratliff, vacationing with their children: Saxton (Patrick Schwarzenegger), Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook), and Lochlan (Sam Nivola).
  • Lalisa Manobal (Lisa of BLACKPINK) as Mook, a health mentor at The White Lotus Thailand.
  • Lek Patravadi as Siritala, an owner of The White Lotus Thailand and a visionary behind its wellness program.
  • Tayme Thapthimthong as Gaitok, a security guard at the resort.
  • Jon Gries, reprising his role and dating Chloe (played by Charlotte Le Bon).

There were also some casting changes, including Julian Kostov replacing Miloš Biković, and Charlotte Le Bon taking over a role initially cast for Francesca Corney.

Plot Details

Series creator Mike White has teased that Season 3 will be “longer, bigger, and crazier” than its predecessors. The first episode already hints at tension, including:

  • Rick Hatchett’s conflicts with a hotel employee.
  • Timothy Ratliff receiving a call from a journalist that could shake his life.
  • Jon Gries’ character’s unexpected return, connecting to past seasons.

HBO’s Francesca Orsi called Season 3 “incredible,” and Natasha Rothwell hinted at shocking moments, saying she “gasped out loud” while reading the scripts.

Trailer Releases

HBO released the first trailer on December 16, 2024, followed by a second trailer on January 27, 2025.
